Antecedentes

This fourth webinar in the series of IOMC webinars on the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC) Implementation Programmes focuses on “Developing a GFC Implementation Programme on Strengthening National Chemicals Legislation and Institutional Capacities”.

Objetivos del evento

To present and gather stakeholder feedback on proposed terms of reference and intersessional activities for the development of a GFC Implementation Programme focused on strengthening national chemicals legislation and institutional capacities, as well as to introduce a strategic approach to a modular chemicals management system

Contenido y estructura

The webinar presents suggestions for a set of terms of reference for the programme as well as a possible list of intersessional activities to support the programme development, including a global multi-stakeholder workshop provisionally scheduled to take place from 22 to 23 June 2025, back-to-back with the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) of the GFC. Furthermore, an outline for a high-level document on a Strategic Approach to a Modular Chemicals Management System, is presented.
