Event Objectives

The objective of this online certificate is to support participants in strengthening their leadership capacity by exploring diverse leadership styles and strategies in a highly interactive format. The sessions highlight how diverse factors influence leadership practices through a gender lens and by focusing on self-confidence, assertive communication, and community-building. Through the four modules below, participants will be able to lead authentically while cultivating supportive professional networks.

The certificate also offers practical tools to recognize gender stereotypes and challenge these dynamics while encouraging collaboration with all stakeholders in advancing equality and inclusivity. Beyond the acquisition of knowledge and skills, the programme fosters a dynamic and engaging environment where participants can actively participate, exchange experiences, and build a strong sense of community. By equipping participants to leverage their authentic strengths and capabilities, the online certificate contributes to creating more inclusive professional spaces.

Background

In today’s global context, gender-inclusive leadership offers valuable perspectives that contribute to building effective and forward-looking organizations.

The “Women’s Leadership: Make Your Voice Heard” Online Certificate equips participants with the tools and strategies to not only succeed but also excel in leadership roles by embracing their unique strengths and perspectives. Over the course of four interactive workshops, participants will explore different dimensions of leadership, learn to deconstruct and challenge gender stereotypes in the workplace, and strengthen their skills in persuasive communication, negotiation, and strategic relationship-building.

The sessions provide a practical and supportive environment where self-confidence is nurtured, communication skills are sharpened, and opportunities for strategic collaboration are fostered through the cultivation of authentic strengths for growth and leadership.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this online certificate, participants will be able to:

  • Apply diverse leadership styles and strategies in both personal and professional contexts.
  • Strengthen cultural intelligence to foster inclusion and diversity in leadership roles.
  • Build self-confidence, assertive communication, negotiation skills, and professional networks through mentorship.
  • Gain practical tools to challenge gender stereotypes and engage stakeholders in advancing equality while leveraging authentic strengths for effective leadership.
Content and Structure

UNITAR has designed and developed an innovative e-workshop for authentic leaders to better structure their approach to their own leadership style, build resilience, and be self-motivated. The workshop will follow the following structure:

  • Module 1: Different Dimensions of Leadership
  • Module 2: Persuasive Communication, Negotiations and Strategic Relationship-Building
  • Module 3: Deconstructing Gender Stereotypes in the Workplace: Challenging Unconscious Bias
  • Module 4: Growth and Confident Leadership: Women’s Authentic Strengths

The e-workshop will take place using the platform Zoom. The activities will be designed to be highly interactive, characterised by a similar format to that of face-to-face workshops. As a result, a similar level of engagement will be guaranteed through simulations, group exercises and discussion, and Q&A sessions.

The e-workshop will run for 12 hours, taking place over four days from 26 November to 3 December 2025. The first two modules will be held on 26 and 28 November from 14:00 to 17:00 CET (UTC+1), and the third and fourth modules on 2 and 3 December from 15:00 to 18:00 CET (UTC+1).

Targeted Audience

The online training is designed and targeted for professionals aiming to include a gender lens in their leadership positions across all sectors, community leaders and activists, as well as anyone who is in leadership roles or aiming to be in leadership roles in the near-future.

The holistic and innovative training approach focuses on personal growth while providing a gender lens to better understand gender-specific obstacles in the workplace, marketplace, and community. It aims at a significant long-term impact at both the individual and organisational level through means of synchronous learning during the e-workshops and active networking.
