
CIFAL Victoria - Developing a Sustainability Mindset: Integrating the Sustainable Development Goals

This executive level course is designed for Mahidol senior leaders and administrators. The course provides a comprehensive overview of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explores strategies and hands-on applications for integrating them into research, teaching, campus operations and partnerships. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and key readings, leaders will gain the knowledge and skills needed to implement the SDGs throughout the University campus and beyond.
- Develop a deeper understating of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
- Evaluate the use of current systems and processes to advance and report on the SDGs
- Develop a strategic plan for implementing the SDGs across research, teaching, operations and community engagement
- Identify and build leadership opportunities to engage with the SDGs
The in-person training will include 4 modules to covered in 2.5 days of in-person training and will include the following:
- Module 1 – Introduction to the SDGs and Implementation of the SDG
- Framework in Higher Education
- Module 2– SDGs and Executive Leadership
- Module 3 – Best Practices for Research, Teaching, and the SDGs
- Module 4 – Advancing SDGs through Operations and Partnerships
The course is designed for active engagement and gives time for executives to discuss and plan actions, and to design programs and policies to support key learnings. There is no assessment in written form, but extensive discussions with instructors and colleagues. Content is delivered through slides and discussions.
