Background

The CO-OP Responsibility Program is a collaborative educational initiative developed by BAU CO-OP in partnership with Darüşşafaka, CIFAL Istanbul, UNITAR, and Bahçeşehir University. Running from September 18, 2024, to May 15, 2025, the program aims to raise awareness among high school and university students about key global challenges such as sustainability and climate change. Through expert-led sessions, it supports the development of socially responsible, environmentally conscious individuals, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. The program emphasizes experiential learning and youth engagement as essential tools for driving long-term positive change.

Content and Structure

The program consisted of multiple sessions featuring expert presentations, in teractive discussions, and experience sharing on sustainability and climate change. It was structured to combine theoretical insights with practical examples, fostering active participation and awareness among students over several months.

The methodology involved expert-led talks, interactive discussions, and experience sharing, combined with continuous engagement over time to deepen understanding and motivate youth action on sustainability and climate change.
