The July 2025 Cohort Global Diplomacy Bootcamp expands on the topics and courses introduced in its inaugural session, placing greater emphasis on in-field experience and analysis. This summer session covers ongoing topics at the UN as Member States and agencies prepared for the Summit of the Future and the Annual General Assembly. Participants will study the process of drafting and reaching resolutions under the guidance of experienced negotiators and will engage in peace mediation exercises. This cohort will offer participants a vivid experience of high-level negotiations, showcasing how effective leadership and negotiation skills can help minimize conflicts.

学习目标
  1. Understand the United Nations System
    • Identify the main organs, agencies, and regional/political groupings within the UN.
    • Gain insights into the day-to-day functions and responsibilities of diplomats and UN civil servants.
    • Analyze the interaction between Member States and the UN, especially in the context of high-level conferences like the Summit of the Future.
  2. Develop Multilateral Negotiation and Mediation Skills
    • Practice fundamental negotiation tools in simulated multilateral settings (e.g., climate change, AI, and peacebuilding).
    • Learn how to manage difficult conversations, balance competing interests, and build consensus in international contexts.
    • Strengthen public speaking, diplomacy etiquette, and presentation techniques through real-time exercises.
  3. Explore Global Leadership and Personal Branding
    • Understand the importance of soft skills in international affairs, including communication, adaptability, and cross-cultural collaboration.
    • Engage in leadership workshops focused on personal branding and navigating diverse, multicultural environments.
    • Reflect on leadership styles suited for global service and diplomacy.
  4. Gain Real-World Exposure to UN Work and Diplomacy
    • Participate in panels and discussions with ambassadors, senior UN officials, and field practitioners.
    • Observe real-life UN negotiations and proceedings to connect theory with practice.
    • Learn from the lived experiences of professionals shaping global policies.
  5. Strengthen Commitment to the SDGs and International Cooperation
    • Deepen understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
    • Examine the role of youth and diplomacy in advancing sustainable development and global equity.
    • Reflect on how international frameworks and diplomatic cooperation address global challenges.
